STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS TOWARD TEACHER’S TALK IN EFL CLASSROOM OF INDONESIA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: A CASE STUDY

This study is a case to investigate students’ perceptions toward teacher’s talk in EFL (English as Foreign Language) classrooms. It conducted for two months on single entity the research subject, ie 35 Eleventh-graders with varying English language skills and an teacher. Since it focuses only certain entity, results of cannot be generalized broader context. uses qualitative approach by showing data from questionnaires, observations interviews samples. The question how Eleventh graders' perception Regarding question, aims determine thoughts students talk, so that teacher can organize modify class based implicate learning process reducing anxiety. provides opportunities able information or lessons learned more comfortably, thus reduces obstacles learning. findings show majority Eleventh-grade want fully use although they still have difficulties understanding feel less confident using English.
